Tales from the Fourth and Fifth Grades

Having looked at the different blogging tools, I think Blogger is still the easiest to use.  For me there are a number of advantages to using Blogger over the other options. Advantages: -Works with logins that our students currently use for all other web tools -Works just like a word processor -Works well with the existing Google infrastructure ie Google Classroom -Most other blogs use WordPress which tends to be a clunky platform that is designed more for web designers than average users, whereas Blogger is very easy to use. Disadvantages - Not as many templates as WordPress based bloggers.  This can make it less engaging to students. - Not as many features, can be a little more limited Other bloggers I haven't been in the habit of reading other teachers blogs as much as I should.  This is actually one of my learning goals for my TPA year next year.   I think it really is the best way to see what else is going on in the education community.

 Welcome grade 4/5's!  It is going to be an awesome year. My name is Mr. Barker, and I am going to be yoru teacher this year.  This is my first year at Paisley Road Public School.  Previously I taught at Ecole Harris Mill Public School and Ecole Fred A. Hamilton Public School. Outside of school, I have two kids, Ben, who is in grade 11, and Olivia who is in grade 9.  In my spare time, I love reading, and technology.   As we begin the year, I want to get to know a few things about you! 1.
